Working with the

sacred sigils and alphabet

So once you have mediated the script and it is completely manifest, what then? Sigils and scripts that are mediated like this have a number of uses; some work as calling cards, or keys to unlock areas and open gateways. They also mark areas, in the Abyss for example, they can change the power of whatever they are linked to, and they can connect up people, places and objects. They can also act like an open phone line to a particular being or realm. So once the sigils/letters are within you, it is like you have a font folder within you and as beings/deities connect with you, they will see that you are storing sigils of utterance and they will show you which ones can be used to call them or connect with them.

If you are working with a being as a guardian for example, rather than having the being there all the time which is not really necessary unless they are guarding an inner temple, then they can leave behind their imprint, which is a sound. That sound is converted to the sigil within you and drawn out. The sigil is like a window to that being and if someone opens a box, comes in a room, picks up a magical tool etc, it will ring the doorbell and call the being: the sigil is like the eyes or ears of the being. So it would be marked where it was needed. To mediate the mark, you would first listen to the sound of the being in vision, and while in vision, with pen in hand, let the being guide your hand to draw the sigil. It takes practice as you have to block your mind out from wanting to control the shape, but at the same time, the mind is needed to be present to allow the being to mediate properly. Automatic writing is a step beyond this as such a method is truly passive. The mediation of sigils has a wee bit more control and interaction than that.

If you practice it a few times with a being and a place or deity, when you hit the right one, you will begin to see it everywhere. Just don't allow the Goetia sigils to creep into your mind: often ancient magical sigils look nothing like them. Once you have had a couple of successes and you have got your confidence, then you will find it much easier. The other method of getting the sigils out from deep within you is to again tune into the sound of the being or place, and hold that sound in your mind. Ask to be guided to the shape of that sound and you will begin to see a sigil everywhere you go and it will be the only one you can draw. These are placed upon containers, upon inner temple doors and outer temple doors, or over the entrance of Abyss tunnels where you are working and want the beings to be able to find you, or you to find them.
